Mutton Busting Event Participation Information
Age & Weight Requirements

Participants must be between ages 5–7 (as of August 6)
·
Maximum
weight: 80 lbs.
Entry Fee
·
$25.00 per
entry (Debit/Credit Cards only)
·
Entry fee includes one rodeo ticket for the participant
Drawing & Notification
·
Ten participants will be randomly selected for
each night of the rodeo
·
Notifications will be sent via email by July 15th at 5 PM
·
You will have 24 hours to respond
·
If no response is received, a second drawing
will take place on July 17th
Release Forms & Rodeo Tickets
·
If selected, a legal guardian and the participant must schedule a time
to:
o Complete
required release forms
o Choose
their seats for the rodeo
·
The participant
will receive a rodeo ticket as part of the entry fee
·
All other family members must purchase tickets separately
(Debit/Credit only)
Participation Rules
·
One entry per household
·
Enter for one
evening only (multiple entries will result in disqualification)
·
Only the contestant
receives a rodeo ticket
·
Only the named
contestant may ride — no
substitutions allowed
·
Contestants must be ready when called, or the sheep will be turned out
·
Only the contestant
and one parent are allowed in the arena during the event
·
If a child appears distressed, committee personnel will determine if
participation is appropriate
Protective Gear
·
Riders are strongly encouraged to bring and wear
their own protective headgear
·
Final decision on gear is up to the legal guardian
·
The provided bib must be attached to the back of the rider’s shirt
